Mikhail Katsevman: “The market of halogen free compounds is waiting for R&P POLYPLASTIC”

The largest wire and cable exhibition in Russia – Cabex 2021 – is the first major industrial event in face-to-face format after lifting up the coronavirus restrictions. The event confirmed the assumption that polymer compounds are in high demand and this demand from the cable industry will continue to rise.   

During three days of the exhibition over 150 visitors came to the R&P POLYPLASTIC booth, among them current and potential customers. Company representatives held more than a dozen meetings and negotiations. Developments of R&P POLYPLASTIC in the field of production and supply of halogen free compounds generated a particularly high amount of interest.  

“Our analysis has shown that there are quite a lot of producers of halogen free sheaths in Russia and we had a pleasant surprise that customers are looking forward to seeing R&P POLYPLASTIC on this market. Despite import and a number of national suppliers the market has a request for our developments. We will use all efforts in order to saturate the demand in the second half of the year”, noted Mikhail Katsevman, Head of R&D of R&P POLYPLASTIC.

At Cabex 2021, representatives of the company discussed several agreements of understanding on supplies of halogen free compositions. According to Ekaterina Smirnova, head of Market Development Department, R&P POLYPLASTIC will be able to start industrial supplies by Q4 2021.
