R&P POLYPLASTIC continues to increase supplies of Armlen PP-9TEX material for insulation of oil-submersible cable

.

By November 2021, the volume of shipments to the leading company in the electrical industry, Cable Alliance Holding, reached a sevenfold increase compared to the first industrial-scale delivery in January 2021.

Large-scale commercial shipments of Armlen PP-9TEX for the cable industry started this year. "The first deliveries of this grade took place in 2020, but at that time the volumes were minimal, just hundreds of kilograms. Today we already supply hundreds of tons, and we expect the market to grow in 2022. Armlen PP-9TEX is gradually gaining popularity," notes Ekaterina Smirnova, Deputy Sales Director of Polyplastic Trading House, authorized commissioner of R&P POLYPLASTIC.

The material is based on block copolymer of propylene with ethylene. It has increased resistance to temperature, copper ions and petroleum products. Being thermostabilized and frost-resistant it withstands operating temperatures up to +125 °C. The material was developed in accordance with the "Unified Technical requirements for the pump stations and assessment of the oil production equipment performance" of PJSC Rosneft and other oil producing companies.

Like any polymer compound, Armlen PP-9TEX has a high processing rate (for this material it is 10-30% higher than the standard one), and allows one to achieve unique properties of the finished product, since the compound is developed to meet specific requirements.
