R&P POLYPLASTIC improved performance on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

Following the CSR audit R&P POLYPLASTIC improved its results by two times comparing to the first audit in 2017. The total score is higher than the average in the industry by 13.6%. Corporate Social Responsibility System of R&P POLYPLASTIC has been evaluated by EcoVadis, an established international company providing auditing services for 200 economic sectors in 160 countries.

CSR effectiveness is estimated in several areas: surrounding environment, labor and human rights, business ethics and sustainable procurements. R&P POLYPLASTIC received the highest score in surrounding environment and business ethics: company performance in these areas is higher than the average by 20% and 30% accordingly.

Active integration of CSR principles into the DNA of one of the leading Russian compounders started in 2020. The first step was to update and unite all Policies and Codes regulating inter-relations with all stakeholders of R&P POLYPLASTIC into a single effective instrument. They provide full coverage for all business units including production plants in Engels and Togliatti and Moscow-based Trade House “Polyplastic”. One of the impulses for a more active implementation of CSR system was the COVID-19 pandemic, which became a serious challenge for the whole society.

“The whole world expected business to react to this challenge and raise its commitment to the well-being, safety and health of employees, contribution to environmental improvement and protection of public interests”, – says Alexander Pavlov, Director General of R&P POLYPLASTIC. Such global automanufacturers as Renault-Nissan-AvtoVAS and producers of components, for example, Faurecia can serve as a good example of corporate responsibility.    

R&P POLYPLASTIC is confident: it is impossible to demonstrate leadership without voluntarily taking responsibility for social obligations and following highest international ethical and ecological standards. For this reason, R&P POLYPLASTIC will require conformance to basic principles of CSR from all its suppliers.
