At the Elektro 2021 Exhibition R&P POLYPLASTIC presents hi-tech solutions for producers of oil submersible cables

Armlen PP-6EX and Armlen PP-9EX – compounds based on block copolymer of polypropylene with increased resistance to hydrocarbons, fuels and copper ions as well as thermal effect. The thermostabilized and cold resistant compounds can be used for production of cable isolation for oil-submersible pumps.  

Oil-submersible cables with isolation and sheathing made from Armlen PP-6EX and Armlen PP-9EX can be used at a temperature of plus 130°С. Compounds are simpler to process comparing to other materials produced in Russia.

Among the abovementioned properties Armlen PP-6EX can be characterized by reduced oil and fuels absorption with requirement strengthening to load fall after yield point and deformation modulus under tension within the 10 – 20 MPa range of stress. Armlen PP-6EX is in full conformity with technical requirements № 06.2020 of PJSC “Surgutneftegaz”.

The Armlen PP-9EX grade is in conformity with Uniform technical requirements for oil-field equipment of PJSC Rosneft Oil Company and other oil producers.

Both materials are serially produced in natural color and can be colored with polyolefin masterbatches.
