R&P POLYPLASTIC warns about counterfeits of its materials

In the beginning of April, another attempt of supplying counterfeit materials under the R&P POLYPLASTIC has been detected at one of the leading Russian manufacturing facilities. A 100 kg lot under the name “Polyamide UPA6/15 TU 2243-029-11378612-2005” has been offered.   

The fact was exposed when our partner made an enquiry for comparative characteristics of the offered material. After a reply from R&P POLYPLASTIC that the company does not produce the brand UPA6/15 TU 2243-029-11378612-2005 our partner provided us with a technical passport for this material with logo, contact details and signatures of R&P POLYPLASTIC. The document appeared to be fraudulent.

Above all, it should be noted that in this “document” dates of production and trials do not match: according to the fraudulent technical passport the material was produced on March 12, 2021 while tis laboratory trials took place a month and a half earlier – on January 30, 2021. This clearly indicates that the fraudulent passport has been made created with the use of photomontage tools by adjusting the top part with “trials results” and the lower part with signatures of actual staff members of R&P POLYPLASTIC. 

R&P POLYPLASTIC understands perfectly well the scope of damage which may result from using counterfeit materials. We ask our partners to thoroughly check commercial offers and let us know about any suspicions of attempts of using R&P POLYPLASTIC brand for marketing forged materials.   

Below are a few tips on how to tell the difference between documents of R&P POLYPLASTIC with high level of security and falsified documents:

• the supporting document is called “quality certificate” and not “passport” and has a unique identifying number;
• each quality certificate contains not only material production date but also the number of production line used for manufacturing each lot;
• each quality certificate contains not only information about the weight of material but also number of packages and type of packaging;
• the table of trial rates includes certain tables and requirements as to submitted data.
