Director General of R&P POLYPLASTIC Alexander Pavlov explained how the company managed to adjust to a new COVID-19 reality and preserve jobs

In the face of COVID-19 pandemic real economy companies had to reorganize manufacturing processes in order to avert a sharp decline. Research and Production Enterprise “POLYPLASTIC” – the largest Russian producer of compound materials, managed to adapt to new market challenges and preserve jobs. What were the past three months for the company and what are the forecasts for the second half of the year Director General Alexander Pavlov told Volga.News, the Samara regional information portal.   

The speaker noted that R&P POLYPLASTIC had no production pause; the company was included into the federal and regional lists of strategic enterprises and continued its work. Shipments of polymer compounds from the company’s warehouses continues in a usual way.

Moreover, Alexander Pavlov told about product diversification and new areas of application of R&P POLYPLASTIC polymer compounds. The company is actively working on developing biodegradable and biocompostable materials. “I am certain that the “green revolution” will at some point reach Russia and we will be able to offer materials for disposable cutlery and the needs of agroindustrial complex. During the COVID-19 crisis, we noticed that the packaging market was not so strongly affected and we are prepared to offer them various concentrates and additives. We are also working on developing conductive materials”, said Alexander Pavlov.
