Research and Production Enterprise "POLYPLASTIC" congratulates AvtoVAZ with the 50th anniversary of assembly of the first "Zhiguli"

On April 19, 1970 the first automobile from Togliatti – VAZ-2101 left the assembly line. This car was a real dream for millions of Soviet people. We can still see it on public roads. High comfort, maintainability and fuel efficiency of the legendary model made it a truly “people’s” car. 

As the years went by materials requirements changed, metal  gradually gave way to plastic. An increasing number of interior and exterior parts for new model were produced from plastic. 25 years after the assembly of VAZ-2101 the country's largest car manufactuter established cooperation with Research and Production Enterprise “POLYPLASTIC” – producer of polymer materials. Over the next years   the enterprises’ history was inextricably interlinked.

AvtoVAZ designers issued higher requirements to materials taking into account those used by international car manufacturers. Development of compounds for AvtoVAZ was a strong driver for R&P POLYPLASTIC, the company gained huge experience in producing polymer compounds for the auto industry.  

Today the employees of R&P POLYPLASTIC congratulate their colleagues from AvtoVAZ with the 50^th anniversary of the assembly of the first “Zhiguli” car and wish even more professional achievements.
