Head of R&P POLYPLASTIC Research and Development took part in the international seminar “Modern technologies for plastic molding”

.

On October 2 – 3, the 6th International seminar “Modern technologies for plastic molding” took place in Saint Petersburg. Head of R&P POLYPLASTIC Research and Development Mikhail Katsevman opened the event with a presentation about “Russian market of construction polymer materials for injection molding”.

The speaker noted that consumption level of polymers in Russia is significantly lower comparing to developed countries and in the past years it has not been showing any signs of growth. Thereby, the growth rate of production of base polymers considerably exceeds production capabilities of the plastic procession industry.

In Mr. Katsevman’s view the principal systematic problems of the industry include limited demand from the potentially capacious markets (civil construction, utilities sector, transport and road construction), difficulties with raw materials procurement, considerable prices fluctuation and lack of highly qualified staff.

Finally, Mikhail Katsevman noted that R&P POLYPLASTIC has for many consecutive years been the leader of Russian plastic procession industry and invited all organizations interested in the development of the national polymer industry to cooperation.

During the seminar, R&P POLYPLASTIC and their customers had the opportunity to mutually exchange views of the main problems and prospects for development.
