R&P POLYPLASTIC made a presentation about the implementation of the investment project for over 4.8 million euro at Interplastica 2022

.

Evgeny Parshikov, Deputy General Director of R&P POLYPLASTIC, together with Anton Vagis, Head of Extrusion Technology Department of KraussMaffei Extrusion GmbH Representative Office in Russia, did a report at Interplastica, in which they spoke in detail about the implementation of the project for new compounding facilities in Saratov Region - Saratov Polymer Materials Plant.

“This project is unique for several reasons: civil and installation works took only 9 months, at the same time 15 months passed from the project beginning to production start. For example, in Europe to launch the facilities of similar level and scope of work usually requires 2-3 years,” Evgeny Parshikov notes.

The expert mentioned that in this project, the task was to select the ideal equipment for production needs. “This is one of those rare projects in which nobody saved on process equipment, the best developments of leading manufacturers were purchased to reach the most ambitious goals. Speaking about our company, it was very interesting for us to make the equipment integration, since we clearly understood that there was no another similar project in Russia as this one,” says Alexander Mashinistov, General Director of Polytechnika company that installed the lines.

The new production is almost fully automatic, namely it has unpacking station, raw materials feeding system and automatic distribution of raw materials (13 feeders on each line). Separate feeders transport additives (with no mixtures as a result), and there is a robotized palletizing system for ready product.

ZE80 x 48D BluePower extruders installed at the plant are unique equipment in Russia and the CIS today: R&P POLYPLASTIC is the only compounder producing engineering plastics that has industrial lines based on ZE80 x 48D BluePower machines.

“These extruders are the optimum solution having versatile features to meet all modern requirements for automation, ergonomics, and environmental friendliness. They are 20-25% more energy efficient and 30% more productive than the previous generation of our UTX and UT series, and open up a wide range of possibilities for compounders,” comments Anton Vagis, Krauss Maffei.

We would like to mention that the new capacities of Saratov Polymer Materials Plant were launched for industrial operation on January 21, 2022. Currently the plant is already 85% provided with orders.
